Hot-shot director Davis Milo knows the first rule of directing: never fall for your leading lady. Captivated by Jill’s raw talent, he fights his feelings, but watching Jill on-stage with another man is more than his jealous streak can take. Keeping things professional isn’t an option. He wants all of her.
Soon the ingénue and her director are staying late in the empty theatre, their private rehearsals spiraling into new, forbidden territory. Caught up between fiction and reality, Jill struggles to find the truth in all their staged kisses. But how can she be sure that what she feels is real, and not a part of the play? And when two people spend their lives pretending, what happens after the final curtain falls?

Top 5 romantic destinations Jill wants to visit with Davis
1. Fiji. She wants to stay in one of those bungalows over the water - perfect, crystal blue water and sunny skies.
2. Prague. To tour the castles. And to sneak into a empty and be as quiet as they can so the tourists don’t hear them.
3. Wineries in Australia. A day of winery visits, watching the sunset from the deck of a quiet inn, and then...
4. London -- to see plays and dine out and wander around the city, and then return to that hotel with the fabulous rooftop view of the city.
5. Antigua -- To the Jumby Bay hotel on a private 300-acre island, with an ocean view and private courtyard.

I’m serious. I’m really not kidding, and I’m a little offended if you find this to be a joking matter! Lauren was incredibly inconsiderate to not take my not only my mental health into consideration, but my heart as well, when she wrote a book where not one… not two… not three… but five hot men are featured!!
Yes, you heard me – there are five men to drool over in this book!
There is Bryan, Kat’s fiancé and hero from Caught Up In Us. (Yes, we get to catch up with Kat and Bryan!) We have Reeve, our hero from Pretending He’s Mine, who is Jill’s best guy friend. We have Chris, Jill’s brother and our hero in Trophy Husband. And then we’re introduced to the super sweet and could be a total book boyfriend, Patrick, Jill’s co-star.
Now, our hero in Playing With Her Heart is Jill’s director on her first Broadway show, the incredible dirty talker Davis. He is seriously swoon worthy. Maybe more so then the rest of the guys I mentioned…
Oh my gawd! Did I just say that?! Reeve, I’m so sorry! You know I still love you, right?!? But, well… I’ll let Davis show you for himself how swoon worthy his dirty talking is…
"You’re like a drug to me. I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to get enough of my fix. I’m going to need more and more hits and even so I’ll only grow more addicted to you.”
“Do you have any idea how much I love making you come? It is my favorite thing in the world.”
Gah! Seriously… Davis totally blew a lot of book boyfriends out of the water with just his dirty talking ways. But that wasn’t all that made me fall in love with him. IT was the way he took care of Jill and everyone in his cast. He know how to read people and know what they need in order to perform at their best. And he can tell how to help Jill when she needs it most.
I feel in love with our heroine, Jill, in Caught Up In Us and begged (or demanded… depending on how you look at it…) that Lauren Blakely write a story for her. Let me tell you, she did not let me down! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Jill better and watching her as she faced her demons from her past in order to try and fall in love.
When we met Jill in Caught Up In Us she was this fun roommate that was always full of energy and seemed like the girl to hang around. Well, we meet a different Jill in Playing With Her Heart. This Jill hides behind her fun and high-energy attitude and maybe doesn’t have it as together as she tries to let on to even those she is closest to.
Lauren Blakely will take you on a very wonderful journey with Jill and Davis. I promise. Just be prepared for a heart-attack with all the hot men, because there should be a warning label. Just sayin.
