Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
Can Ben’s relationship with Fallon—and simultaneously his novel—be considered a love story if it ends in heartbreak?
Holy keeping-you-on-the-edge-of-your-set crap! I was so
involved with Colleen Hoover’s November 9
that I could not put it down, literally to the point where I made my husband
drive me so I could read in the car. I was I was engrossed all the way to the
very end! I immediately fell in love with Fallen’s sass and Ben’s charm.
With trying not to give anything away, these two characters
meet on November 9th and then continue to only meet up every
November 9th. So, as a reader we only get to see what goes on Fallen
and Ben one day a year throughout most of the book. And a lot can happen in a
year! It was so nerve-wracking and exciting every time we jumped to the next
year. I was nervous that one of them could have found someone else and excited
that this just might be the year they start a real relationship.
Absolutely hands down one of the best books I’ve read in a
while! I didn’t think Colleen could top Ugly
Love, but she just blew it out of the water with November 9. And that says something, because I LOVED Ugly Love!
Colleen Hoover is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Slammed, This Girl, Point of Retreat, Hopeless, Losing Hope, Finding Cinderella, Maybe Someday, Ugly Love, Maybe Not, and Confess. She lives in Texas with her husband and their three boys.
