From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen
Hoover, a new novel about risking everything for love—and finding your heart
somewhere between the truth and lies.
Auburn Reed has her entire life mapped out. Her goals are in sight and there’s no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.
For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.
The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…

I purposely avoided all reviews and discussion groups for
Confess so that I could fully enjoy what I knew would surely be perfection. I
was not disappointed and am so grateful I went into this book with open eyes
and an open heart. Colleen Hoover has once again knocked it out of the park
with a story of two souls destined to be together.
The moment we meet Auburn we know that she is a good soul
with a gentle heart. Facing a loss at a young age molds a person and what that
loss did for Auburn was set in motion events that she cannot face alone. Owen
is an artist that harbors more secrets than those he paints. The owner of the
gallery (or studio as he calls is), Confess, Owen brings people’s anonymous
confessions to the canvas. When Auburn and Owen meet it is as if everything
missing in each of their lives is found. Through moments of undeniable
attraction, friendship and support they each face the demons of their past and
the destiny of their future.
I found myself suddenly Auburn's biggest cheerleader and supporter as easily as I found myself wanting to know who Owen was and what made him into the man his is. I found myself rooting for two people that faced every obstacle put in their path with determination and a selfless drive. I won't ruin it for the next person, I will say that Confess gives you everything you expect from a Colleen Hoover book and then some. These are adults that have had to grow up far too quickly and face life changes that most hope they never encounter. Thank you Colleen Hoover for all that you do to bring us such amazing stories.
