Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: girl meets player, they fall in love, player changes his ways.
It’s a good story. But it’s not our story. Ours is a lot more colorful.
When I met Dee I knew right away that she was special. When she met me, she thought I was anything but special—I was exactly like every other guy who’d screwed her over and let her down. It took some time to convince her otherwise, but turns out I can make a convincing argument when sex is at stake.
You might know where this story’s headed. But the best part isn't where we ended up.
It’s how we got there.
TAMED goes back in time to the Tangled days. But this time around, it’s not Drew dishing out the advice and opinions—it’s his best friend Matthew, who of course is dealing with Dee Dee.
She puts on the helmet, but doesn’t climb on the Ducati right away. She stands on the sidewalk, hands on her hips, looking thoughtfully at it. “What would you say if I said I wanted to drive your motorcycle to the party?”
“I’d say you’re shit out of luck. I don’t ride bitch.”
She knocks me upside the head—but my helmet softens the blow. “Then let me take it for a ride myself. Just around the block.”
“I . . .don’t think so.”
She pouts.
I sigh. “Have you ever driven a motorcycle before?”
“No, but I’ve always wanted to.”
“Well, I’ve always wanted to fly, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna strap on a squirrel suit and skydive from the god damn Empire State Building.”
She steps closer, and rubs her placating hands up my chest. “Come on, please? I’ll be really careful and grateful. Really grateful. Like . . .deviantly, let you handcuff me to the bed, kind of grateful.”
Forget the national broadcast system—this is the test. Am I going to stick to my man-guns, keep my pride, and protect my cherished vehicle from almost certain carnage? Or, am I going to be ruled by my dick and swayed by the promise of kinky, have-Dee-at-my-mercy-all-night-long, sex?
No contest.
“Riding bitch, it is.”
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm…where, oh where does one begin when reviewing Tamed by the incredibly talented Emma
Chase? Something tells me that a keysmash of epic proportions just won’t do so
I must try and form some words here. Note: Words are difficult to find—especially
when your thoughts are jumbled after reading such an incredible book!
When I first learned that Tamed
was not about Drew, I may or may not have made the scrunched up nose face.
I may or may not have also thrown out a, “Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?!?!
*insert crying emojis*. You see, I LOVE Drew. Like loooooooooooooooooooooooove
Drew so there was some pouting. Do you want to know how long said pouting
lasted? Meh…about as long as it took me to read the first page. I was hooked! I
started reading right before bed because I thought I would just take a quick
look…welp, 4 hours later I finally had to put it down to get a couple hours of
sleep.
This is huge for me because I like what I like and change is hard. I
mean, you give me perfection in the form of Drew and then take it away? But
like I said—this petulance didn’t even last through the first page—let alone
the first chapter. Tamed is
fanfriggingtastic!!!!! I LOVE this book. I love Matthew and Dee and of course
Drew and Kate but what I also love A LOT is The Bitch in this book. Is now the
time to put in a request to Emma for a book focused on that lovable Bitch?
There is so much goodness in Tamed.
You must, must, must one-click this book NOW. If you have already
one-clicked it but haven’t read it yet, bump it to the very top of your TBR
list. Emma had me on the very first page with, “…it’s been brought to my
attention that sometimes women actually like to cry…” You see, what I realized
with Tamed is this: It’s not all
about Drew. Wait. Shhhhh!!!!, don’t tell Drew I said that because it is SO all
about him…but it’s kinda not totally. Confused yet? Here’s what I realized: I
love Drew because Emma writes Drew and Emma makes me laugh and cry and fall in
love with characters over and over again. It’s Emmmmmmmmmmmmmmmma!!!!!!!
Do you know what I really love about Emma’s writing (you
know—excluding the obvious which is EVERYTHING!!!)? I love that she creates
real characters with everyday lives and genuine problems and legitimate responses
to said problems. Taking you through these books she makes you love and laugh
and cry. Did I mention laugh? I am convinced that Emma has the world’s best
sense of humor. How do I make her be my friend!?!? If you know anyone who can
make that happen, have your people call my people, yeah?
I am not going to give anything away about Tamed but I will tell you this: You will love this book! You will
fall in love with Matthew even though your heart already belongs to Drew. Dee
will make you happy. You think Dee’s “I take no shit from Drew” personality is
reserved for just Mr. Evans? Not a chance. She is pretty badass and we get to
see her in all of her glory in Tamed.
She is far from a weak, virginal lip biter and I love it!!! Well…she may be a
lip biter but something tells me it would be Matthew’s lip she’d be biting;)
By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother who resides in a small town in New Jersey. By night she is a keyboard crusader, toiling away the hours to bring her colorful characters and their endless antics to life. She has a long standing love/hate relationship with caffeine.
Emma is an avid reader. Before her children were born she was known to consume whole books in a single day. Writing has also always been a passion and with the 2013 release of her debut romantic comedy, Tangled, the ability to now call herself an author is nothing less than a dream come true.

In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.
For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.
The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.
That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of…my final test.
I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you’ve heard the whole story.
And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?
