"Hot and sexy romance that will make you laugh out loud." Mimi Strong, New York Times bestselling author of the the Peaches Monroe Trilogy

Smart and sassy lawyer, Lily Adler, has been waging an epic battle with handsome and cocky Assistant District Attorney, Adam Roth since "the glitter incident" in preschool when they were four. Their friends' marriage, a mysterious neighbor, a federal trial, and some bossy big sisters guarantee they'll be spending plenty of time together. When they try to play nicely, will they discover that their reaction to each other is even more volatile? Can they manage to date without anyone sustaining injury? Can they avoid the mobsters trying to kill them without killing each other first? Find out in Legal Briefs.

NOTICE: This book contains explicit descriptions of sexual situations and adult language. It is intended for readers over the age of 18.

“Do you have an extra toothbrush?” I called out, heading for the bathroom.
“Use mine.”
“Use yours? That’s kind of gross.”
“Is the thought of my tongue in your mouth gross too? Because that could have an impact on our romantic relationship.” I guess he had a point there.
I went into the bathroom, washed up, did everything else that half a bowl of rum punch and three glasses of water made necessary, and then contemplated his toothbrush. Fuck it, I was going for it. I brushed my teeth and headed for the hall. I saw him lying on the sofa, punching a pillow to soften it up and I wandered in to say goodnight. Okay, and to ogle a little because he had taken his shirt off again and his body was beautiful.
“Goodnight,” I said trying not to stare. I wasn't succeeding very well and the amused look on his face told me that he had noticed.
“Goodnight,” he said, trying not to look at my boobs, bouncing around jauntily under McGruff the Crime Dog as I moved. He wasn't succeeding too well either, I might add.
“If you need anything I’ll be in there,” I said glancing off toward his bedroom.
“It’s my apartment, I’m sure I can find whatever I need.” He gave into temptation and let his eyes drop for a moment to my body. “Whatever I need that it would be appropriate for me to have tonight,” he added, sounding frustrated. He grabbed his iPad from the end table, and settled into read.
“What are you reading?” I asked curiously.
“Espionage thriller.”
“Ah, I thought you wanted to read the rest of my…”
“I do, want to read them, but I couldn't handle that tonight with you here and half naked. I might forget my rules about women who have been drinking to excess. Now go get some sleep, because you’re getting me hard again, and if I practice any more self-love tonight, I might get carpel tunnel.”
“You mean you were…” I must have looked surprised.
“What did you think, I was just really hygienic?”
“I thought maybe you were taking cold showers,” I admitted.
“Hell, no. I don’t waste God’s gifts.”

**Warning: this is book three in the Lawyers in Love series. Although, I would highly recommend reading books 1 and 2, it may be read as a standalone because it is a different couple**

I love, love, love N.M. Silber's books. No other books can make me laugh hysterically one second and then make me fan myself the next from the sexy times. I have been a believer since I first saw the blurb for The Law of Attraction and now here we are with Legal Briefs, which might be the best one yet!

“Lily, I know it seems nuts…”
“Because we’ve never gotten along, but if we didn’t feel…”
“I already figured that out…”
“I mean, why else have we always been so…”
“Lily, I feel the same way. Now shut up and kiss me.”

We met Adam in the first book, The Law of Attraction (see review here http://bit.ly/RNxiTq). He’s one of Braden’s best friends and a known womanizer. That being said, he is a huge supporter of Braden and Gab. He even gets involved (well really, roped) into some of Gab’s crazy schemes. Then, we meet Lily in The Home Court Advantage (see review here http://bit.ly/1aXzLMm). She befriends Gab and Jess, and then we find out she has a long (not pleasant) history with Adam. Oh, and she writes erotica! She and Adam are hilarious together! Even when we first saw them bickering in book 2, I could already tell that I would love to see them eventually have a thing.

“Do you know why the characters in my book look like us?”
“Pure coincidence?”
“Because I was fantasizing about us doing all those things together when I wrote it.”
“Are you trying to make me cry?”

I think I love Adam and Lily just a tiny bit more than Gab and Brayden just because they had that whole hate to love thing going on. You can literally feel the chemistry Adam and Lily had before they gave into the attraction. Their banter amused me, it was so original and creative. And although I wanted them to bang already after only a few pages, I really enjoyed the build-up of sexual tension. And, honestly, there wasn’t too long much of a build-up. Thank goodness, because once they start getting it on, they are seriously getting it on. I’m pretty sure N.M. Silber is only getting steamier with her love scenes each time I read a new book of hers.

“Are you going to try to distract me with sex whenever I don’t agree with you about something?”
“As a matter of fact, I am, and considering how good the sex is, and how often we disagree, you may be walking funny from now on.”
“Shakespeare had nothing on you.”
“Would you rather I wrote you sonnets or made you see God?”

Adam had me melting with the things he said and did. That boy might have a dirtier and wittier mind than Brayden. And that's saying something. Lily is a romance writer. Which should say enough. She’s comfortable in her sexuality and not once did she annoy me with any kind of weakness. I seriously could not help falling in love with them while watching them fall in love with each other. But in reality, they were always in love with each other, they just denied it for so long. I also loved how once they got together, they stuck together. You gotta love a couple who fights life together. The author has some underlying moral values in the way that their relationship works, and I really respect that. To me, it has become her trademark and I love that she models all her book couple relationships over her relationship beliefs.

“We’re just both sarcastic, argumentative people. At twenty-seven, we’re already like that old couple you always see bickering by the synagogue parking lot by their Lincoln Continental.”
“That’s okay, Lily. That old couple are still together, aren’t they? Besides, that’s why God invented make-up sex.”

And it wouldn’t be a N.M. Silber romance if it didn’t have an outrageous plot to it! I loved the plot. The whole mystery aspect was so random, but I love the contrast of the comical situations with the dirty, sexy times. All in all, you guys just don't want to miss this one. It's sexy. It's hilarious. It's hot. And overall it's adorably romantic. I really can’t wait to see what the author has planned next for this couple and the rest of the people in their circle of friends. This is a series and an author that everyone needs to be watching.

“Tell me again. Tell me you won’t leave me. I want to be with you. I’ve always wanted…I’ve always wanted to be with you.”
“I won’t leave. I’ve loved you since you put glitter in my hair. I’ve been waiting my whole life for you.”

In high school N.M. Silber was voted most likely to go to jail. Coincidentally, she went on to become a criminal defense attorney, and from there, it was an easy transition to smut peddler. Now, in addition to being the author of best selling sexy Romantic Comedies, she's the owner of her own publishing house, a proud Jewish mother, and an intellectual badass. You can find her on Facebook athttps://www.facebook.com/NMSilber unless she owes you money, in which case I don't where she is
