REVIEW - Love Thy Neighbour by Belle Aurora

Ahhhh! There are not enough words to describe how much I loved Love Thy Neighbour! I was caught off-guard by how hard I fell for Nat and Asher. I think Belle Aurora is a freaking genius and her books get better and better each time. You don’t have to read Friend-Zoned before you read Love Thy Neighbour, but why wouldn’t you want to read the sweet and heart-breaking story of Tina and Nik?! (read my review for Friend-Zoned here http://www.romanceaddictbookblog.com/2013/06/review-friend-zoned-by-belle-aurora.html). I really didn’t mean to read Love Thy Neighbour at the time I read it. I was only trying to download the ARC graciously provided by the author on to my Kindle, I took one glance at the first page and fifteen hours later, even with work and school, I was done with the fanfreakingtastic book. I was so happy to be done because I loved the ending, and also because I had a biology test to study for haha, but at the same time I wasn’t ready to let go of Nat and Asher.

We first get a hint of something going down with Nat and Asher when Tina and Nik hear them having crazy sex in the conference room of The White Rabbit, not to mention the sexual tension oozing from how much they “hate” each other in the rest of Friend-Zoned. This book starts off with Nik and Tina’s wedding. Nat doesn’t what to be around Ghost other than a bitch, especially since they had that wild moment in the conference room. Poor Ghost does what she suggests and they stay clear of each other. However, seven months later, Nat moves into a new apartment and the first night she’s there, she goes off her rocker annoyed by the loud, 5-in-the-morning sex next-door. She goes to confront them, and ta-da! Her next-door neighbor is Ghost.

I love, love, love their relationship. They decide to call a truce and become best friends instead of ignoring each other all the time. After a while, they decide to take it a step further and become *cue drumroll* friends with benefits! Yessss. It’s my favorite kind of relationship. There’s so much sexual tension. Not to mention the hot, steamy sex. There’s also so much repressed emotion between the two of them. They’re very honest with each other, and they call each other out on their bullshit. I think one of the other things I really love about the relationship is that love snuck up on them. They both were caught off guard by the intense love they have for each other. Neither of them thought that they were even capable of that feeling; nevertheless, it was very real for the both of them. I was just so attached to the two of them. I need an Asher in my life. He is scarred by his past with his dad. He is quiet, but sees more than anyone. He is ridiculously sexy, yet, there is an adorable little boy side to him that makes me swoon even more. Nat was so strong and bitchy. I loved it. She reminded me so much of myself in those aspects. Two broken, polar opposite people that find true happiness with each other. I was rooting for them the entire time. How could I not?

I didn’t think it was possible to love this book more than I loved Friend-Zoned but I was seriously wrong. Another bonus is we still get to see their huge, loving, unique family in Love Thy Neighbour. The support and love they all have for each other even if they are not all related blows me away, and I can totally relate to it as well. So basically, the jist of this entire review was drop whatever you’re doing and go read Love Thy Neighbour. It will make your life better. Seriously. Belle Aurora deserves one of Tina’s cupcakes for this one. And keep an eye out for Max’s story next!

Belle Aurora is twenty six years old and was born in the land down under.
At an early age she fell in love with reading. Boredom one summer had her scouring the bookshelves at home. She stumbled across Sandra Brown’s Breath of Scandal and fell in love with romance.
Having been brought up in a loud and boisterous family of Croatian descent, she developed a natural love for dramatics and humor. Only some years ago had she discovered a new love.
Humorous romance novels.
Kristen Ashley and R.L. Mathewson had opened a brand new world where she could lose herself yet feel safe and at home in their stories. Belle has been known to become a screeching banshee while anxiously awaiting their newest titles.
Belle never thought she would write. It had never interested her until recently. Friend-Zoned began to form and in February this year Belle typed the words Chapter One. And she fell in love.
With words.
With writing.
With a creative imagination she never knew she harbored.
Friend-Zoned is the first in the Friend-Zoned series. Keep an eye out for this cheeky author.
