Lisa Renee Jones: I appreciate all you support of the series!
Romance Addict-Steph: Can you tell us a little bit about how you came up with the idea for the Inside Out series?
Lisa Renee Jones: Diego (my fiancee) and I were buying and selling storage units and he found a journal. After getting totally absorbed in the drama inside, he started insisting I needed to write a series that was a sexy mystery surrounding a storage unit. At the time I had contracts with publishers and couldn’t but an idea formed and took root. It was actually years later when I finally got to put it on paper.
Romance Addict-Steph: Has everything for the series been written on your end, or is it still a work in progress?
Lisa Renee Jones: Oh no. There are characters I will be exploring and there will be stories that focus on them. Revealing Us is done and ready for release in September. I’ll be starting book 4 very soon.
Romance Addict-Steph: Can you tell us anything about the television series deal going on with Starz?
Lisa Renee Jones: Just that it is exciting and it’s in development and I hope to share news soon. Right now, I can just say it’s in the hands of the amazing producer and they are good hands.
Romance Addict-Steph: There seems to be some confusion on the reading order for the series. How should the readers go about reading the books and journals?
Lisa Renee Jones: The four journals should be read after IF I WERE YOU and I’m actually pushing to have them added to the back of the book in re-prints. Because you find out where Rebecca is in BEING ME it’s important to read her journals before you read it. You can read BEING ME without reading them but the journals won’t be as exciting if you read BEING ME first.
Romance Addict-Steph: I hear there will be a book from The Master’s point-of-view, is that true?
Lisa Renee Jones: Yes! And Master Undone is a novella in his POV that releases in August. Books 4 and 5 in the series will have a heavy focus on him. Book 5 will actually be in his POV completely.
Romance Addict-Steph: Can you tell us something about one of the characters in the Inside Out series that we may never learn in the books?
Lisa Renee Jones: Well, this series is very mystery oriented so all those little secrets they have come out at some point. So I must keep my lips sealed:)
Romance Addict-Steph: Can you give us a hint as to when we’ll learn the details of Rebecca’s disappearance?
Lisa Renee Jones: You find out where she is in BEING ME.
Romance Addict-Steph: What about Ella? I’m so worried about her! When do we see her again?
Lisa Renee Jones: In Revealing Us. Much more to come on where Ella is and what is happening with her.

In the Inside Out Series we not only get a good mystery but we also get the heart-felt romance along with it. What more could I ask for?
In If I Were You we are basically introduced to the whole situation behind all of the mysteries and all of the characters. Sara finds herself in procession of journals written by a girl named Rebecca. Determined to find Rebecca and return the journals to her, Sara ends up taking over her position at an art gallery for the summer in hopes to get close to those that were around Rebecca in order to find out what happened to her. Here she meets a variety of different characters.
We don’t learn any answers to the mysteries Sara has walked herself into until we get to Being Me. The journals are suggested to read between If I Were You and Being Me, and I highly recommend you do! We learn all about about Rebecca’s relationship with her master, as well as some of the other characters Sara has met.
In Being Me we get to be there while Sara and Chris experience a lot of ups and downs while trying to have a relationship together. A very hot and steamingly erotic relationship. However, I really think Lisa Renee Jones did an amazing job with the build up and development of the relationship between Sara and Chris. There are a lot of books out there that miss this when putting the hero and heroine together and then the back and forth between the characters doesn’t seem very realistic.
Everything about Sara and Chris is REAL! They are probably one of my favorite book couples! Please Lisa, don’t rip my heart out and break them up for good!
We also get to learn some of the answers to the mysteries we learned about in If I Were You. First and foremost, we learn who Rebecca’s master is. We also learn about some of Chris and Sara’s dark pasts, as well as some dark secrets about the people that were involved in Rebecca’s life. But most importantly – WE GET SOME INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE REBECCA IS!
Now, being the mystery lover that I am, I will say this (without trying to give anything away) – I don’t believe for a second that what is “confessed” happened to Rebecca at the end of Being Me is TRUE. I think there is still to come about the whereabouts of Rebecca. But that is just my opinion. I can’t wait to see what Revealing Us has in store for Chris and Sara!
