Romance Addict-Steph: Can you tell us something that not a lot of people know about you?
Kendall Ryan: I'm terrified of whales. I know, random, right? I think I was scarred for life watching one of those damn documentaries on killer whales when I was little. Going to Sea World would be a special kind of torture. And oddly enough, a fan of mine once gave me a playlist of whale-sounds as a gift to help me relax/and write. I had to fess up and tell her whales were my biggest fear. She felt really bad!
Romance Addict-Steph: Do you ever find yourself putting pieces of your own personality in your heroine’s personality?
Kendall Ryan: Oh definitely! And most especially in the sarcastic, foul-mouthed best-friend characters I can see a lot of my personality. I'm optimistic, yet real and curse like a sailor! ;)
Romance Addict-Steph: Has there been a hero in one of your books inspired by your husband?
Kendall Ryan: Hmm...not really, but I've definitely taken pieces of his personality or funny thing he's said and included them in my books. He was reading Make Me Yours a while ago and something that Cohen says in that book, he started laughing, and was like, Hey! That's me! It was cute.
Romance Addict-Steph: How do you normally come up with your story ideas and characters?
Kendall Ryan: Usually it happens while daydreaming. Then I'll grab my notebook and start jotting down ideas. With Hard to Love the story came to me when I heard one of those Viagra commercials, "If you have an erection lasting longer than four hours..." And I thought, wow, that'd be a funny/awkward way for a character to meet! In the emergency room with the male sporting an erection from hell. :)
Romance Addict-Steph: Where did the story for Jase and Avery come from?
Kendall Ryan: I wanted to write something about a girl searching for her birthmom, a topic that is close to my heart and also incorporate cyber-bullying as a theme, because I feel it's a relevant issue for young people today. And then of course she needed a strong male to completely unravel her and that's where Jase comes in. I am really proud of this book and can't wait to share it with the world.
Romance Addict-Steph: Do you normally read Romance books, or do you like other genres as well?
Kendall Ryan: I gotta have an HEA! So yes I love romance. Everything from young adult to new adult to erotica. Bring it!
Romance Addict-Steph: What are some good books you’ve read lately?
Kendall Ryan: Some that I've LOVED lately are:
Give Me Something by Elizabeth Lee
Playing Patience by Tabatha Vargo
Tangled by Emma Chase
True Love Story by Willow Aster
Falling Into You by Jacinda Wilder
Romance Addict-Steph: Who is at the top of your book boyfriend list?
Kendall Ryan: Oh, lord. You think I can choose one?! That's cute. Currently it's the boy I'm writing about in my male model book coming out August 5th. WORKING IT His name is Ben. He's hotter than Hades and has a filthy mouth. ;) Make sure to add it to your TBR!

Well, we all know how much happy I am when a new
book by the sassy and entertaining Kendall Ryan out. When Kendall’s last comes book,
Resisting Her, showed up in my inbox I scared my poor dogs (and probably my
children too) half to death by how excited I got.
Well, when The Impact of You magically showed up one
Wednesday afternoon in my inbox I nearly gave my cleaning lady a heart-attack
(This is how I know it was a Wednesday, because my cleaning lady only comes on
Wednesdays). I pretty sure she thought I had lost my damn mind and she pretty
much stayed to herself the rest of the day and kept giving me strange looks,
like ‘why aren’t you locked up somewhere seeking help’.
Well, let me know tell you – The Impact of You was
completely worth poor Nora (my cleaning lady) rushing through her job because
she was in a hurry to get out of my house.
We start off meeting our hero and heroine at a frat party
that neither of them really cares to be at. Both are struggling to overcome
different obstacles life has thrown their way. Jase is forced to struggle proving
himself against his past reputation with the ladies to win Avery over, while
Avery is force to confront an ugly secret she ran away to college to forget.
As usual, Kendall Ryan kept us in delicious sweet torture
while we read and waited for Avery and Jase’s relationship develop and blossom.
Now don’t get worried, we got the hot and steamy scenes Kendall is known to
deliver, but we also get to wait and let the characters grab hold of us and get
us to fall in love them individually.
When I learned about Jase and his family, my heart completely
broke for him. I just wanted to pull him in a big bear hug and tell him
everything is going to be ok. One person just can’t be responsible for
everything, and he bears just such a heavy load on himself.
When I learned about Avery and why she ran away to a college
where no one would know who she was, I completely identified with her!
Sometimes when you’re young you just do stupid things without thinking about
the consequences of your actions. Avery had to learn the hard way that
sometimes you need to think before you act because it might come back to haunt
you.
There were points were I was disappointed in both Avery and
Jase, but then there were also times when I was overcome with joy for both of
the characters. This book is filled with a lot of relationship ups and downs,
as well a lot of self-discovery.
Kendall Ryan will take you on a journey as Avery and Jase not
only find love but also find how to forgive themselves for the past.

Straight-laced Emmy Clarke’s assistant job at the modeling agency provides her with one distinct perk – getting to watch pretty mancandy parade around all day. But having to work under the ultra-bitchy, ultra-British Fiona Stone barely makes it worth it. Emmy enjoys looking, but she’s not stupid enough to fall for one of the tempting specimens. Especially not rising star Ben Shaw.
Ben is everything Emmy’s not: well-traveled, highly paid and exquisitely gorgeous. He’s also got more issues than Vogue. Against her better judgment to get involved, Emmy’s southern roots kick in, and whenever he’s on set, she makes sure he’s treated well and looked after. But she refuses to become one of the pathetic groupies lusting after him, and soon Ben’s drawn toward her refreshingly real attitude.
Against the backdrop of fashion shows in NYC, Paris and Milan, their casual flirting turns into more, and they embark on a journey of sexual discovery. But when Ben’s twisted past is uncovered, it threatens both their relationship and careers as the bitter Fiona digs her claws in, unwilling to let her golden boy go without a catfight.
Filled with passion, jealousy and heart-thumping sex, Working It is the tale of falling for a supermodel.
